Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do is conducting special inspections of large-scale permit sites to prepare for winter natural disasters such as heavy snow and cold waves.

An inspection team composed of public officials from the Building Team and Development Civil Complaints Team of the Jangseong County Office's Civil Service Department was deployed to the sites starting from the 27th. The inspection period lasts until December 1.
The county focuses on checking whether safety measures have been taken in expected avalanche areas such as slopes and cut slopes, and whether safety management plans have been prepared.
They also assess the status of securing materials and equipment for snow removal work and prepare them for immediate use in emergencies.
Measures to prevent slipping due to heavy snowfall and icing are also inspected, and any necessary corrections or supplements are identified.
Special attention is given to the management of fire sources and flammable materials, which are frequently used in winter, to fundamentally prevent the possibility of fire outbreaks.
Additionally, the status of establishing an emergency contact system is checked to ensure rapid reporting and communication in case of incidents.
If there is a high risk of safety accidents or violations are found during the inspection, the county plans to take action according to relevant laws and regulations, and minor issues will be corrected and improved immediately on site.
Kim Han-jong, the county governor, said, “We plan to focus on proactively eliminating risk factors through special inspections of large permit sites during the winter season,” adding, “We will prioritize the safety of residents and concentrate administrative efforts.”
