Support for Store Heritage Investigation Costs Expanded to 5 Billion Won
Increased by 2 Billion Won... The Range of Recipients Expands Further This Year
The Cultural Heritage Administration announced on the 28th that it will increase the national funding support for excavation investigation costs (sampling, trial excavation, excavation investigation) for small-scale construction projects and diagnostic investigation costs (sampling, trial excavation) for daily life-related construction projects to 5 billion KRW next year. This is an increase of 2 billion KRW compared to this year. The aim is to alleviate the economic burden of excavation investigations on construction project implementers while enhancing the efficiency of buried heritage protection.
The scope of support has been expanded compared to this year. Until last year, excavation investigation costs (full coverage for sampling and trial excavation / a cap of 150 million KRW for detailed excavation) were supported only for small-scale construction projects such as single-family houses (under 792㎡), agricultural and fishery facilities (under 2644㎡), private business sites (under 792㎡), and factories (under 792㎡). Starting this year, first and second-class neighborhood living facilities, sports and warehouse facilities, and factories will also receive full support regardless of area.
