Ulsan Institute of Health and Environment to Hold Air Quality Evaluation Report Meeting This Year
Air Quality Assessment in Ulsan Region, Joint Research Results of Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam
The Ulsan Institute of Health and Environment will hold the "2023 Air Quality Assessment Report Meeting" at 2 p.m. on the 28th in the institute's main conference room.
The report meeting will be conducted with presentations and discussions on air quality in the Ulsan area, attended by about 50 people including institute staff and environmental officials from Ulsan City and district and county offices.
The presentations will cover the results of the 2022 air environment monitoring network operation in the Ulsan area and, as a special session, the outcomes of the joint research by Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam.
In the presentation on the operation results of the air environment monitoring network, the following will be presented: ▲ operation results of urban roadside air and airborne heavy metal monitoring networks ▲ explanation of the air pollution alert system and analysis of high-concentration fine dust cases ▲ operation results of the fine dust component analysis system in Ya-eum-dong.
The special session on the joint research outcomes of Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam will focus on "Policy Effect Verification Considering the Reduction Effect of Air Pollution Emissions in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Area," a study jointly conducted by the health and environment research institutes of Ulsan, Busan, and Gyeongnam in the air quality field.
Additionally, there will be presentations on studies such as "Research on the Characteristics of Microplastic Detection in the Air Environment of the Ulsan Area."
