Jindo-gun Achieves Four Consecutive Years of Excellence with Best YouTube Award in This Year's Nuri Communication Network
Vividly Conveying Jindoman's Diverse Culture, Arts, Festivals, and Agricultural and Marine Specialties
Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, won the grand prize in the YouTube - Basic Local Government category at the 9th 2023 SNS of the Year Awards on the 24th.
This award marks the fourth consecutive year of winning since 2020.
According to the county on the 27th, the SNS of the Year has been operated since 2015 to evaluate the utilization status of social networking services (SNS) by companies, public institutions, and organizations, and to widely promote institutions that actively communicate with customers and citizens, thereby establishing a proper SNS usage culture.
Jindo County received the Grand Prize in the Basic Local Government category of this year's Social Networking Service Awards.

Hosted and organized by the Korea Social Content Promotion Association and the Council Policy Academy, and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Influencer Industry Association, the SNS of the Year selects winners through evaluations by media types such as YouTube, blogs, Facebook, Instagram, extended virtual worlds (metaverse), and Kakao Channel.
The Jindo-gun YouTube channel independently produces fun and differentiated content tailored to the timing and themes, showcasing Jindo’s unique culture, arts, festivals, and agricultural and marine specialties for tourists visiting Jindo and local residents.
This includes videos featuring trot queen singer Song Ga-in, a native of Jindo-gun, with most videos starring county office employees who sometimes perform acting and cute dance moves, making the videos enjoyable for anyone, which is considered one of the reasons for its popularity.
In particular, among the 22 cities and counties in Jeollanam-do, it ranks third in YouTube subscribers (as of November, 9,813 subscribers), holding its own against any city or county.
Additionally, besides the ‘Eoseoogae Naljombogae’ YouTube channel, the county actively operates Instagram, Naver Blog, Facebook, and KakaoStory, and promotes various county news and unique attractions, sights, and foods throughout the year by utilizing Jindo-gun SNS supporters.
A spokesperson from the Jindo-gun Planning and Public Relations Office said, “We are making efforts to promote and communicate Jindo-gun through SNS,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to produce more fun and relatable content.”
