According to the prosecution on the 27th, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office rejected the arrest warrant request for Park made by the police on the 25th. Accordingly, the Seoul Namdaemun Police Station released Park, who was arrested on the spot on charges including violation of the Railroad Safety Act, refusal to leave, and obstruction of business, at around 12:33 a.m. the following day. The specific reason for the rejection has not been confirmed.
Earlier, the police arrested Park on the spot at around 8:47 a.m. on the 24th at the Hyehwa Station platform on Line 4 of the Seoul subway, heading toward Dongdaemun, for refusal to leave and other charges. Park complained of pain during the arrest process and was transferred to Green Hospital in Jungnang-gu, Seoul.
Jeonjangyeon claimed that the police dragged Park, who has lower limb paralysis, on the floor causing neck bruises, and that the arrest was conducted illegally without notifying him during the process.
