HUG Wins 'Prime Minister's Award' for 2023 Government Innovation Excellence Case
The Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) announced on the 24th that it received the Prime Minister's Award at the '2023 Government Innovation Best Practices Competition' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for its case of government-wide support for jeonse damage through public-private-civic collaboration.
The Government Innovation Best Practices Competition selects and awards outstanding government innovation cases in three areas: △ a government with services comfortable for all, △ a data-driven agile government, and △ a communicative and cooperative proactive government, targeting administrative and public institutions.
Among 533 cases submitted to the competition, HUG passed the first expert review and the second public voting review to advance to the final championship. On the 15th, at the competition presentation held at SETEC in Seoul, HUG was recognized for its contribution to supporting jeonse damage and received the Prime Minister's Award.
The government-wide support for jeonse damage was promoted from the perspectives of active prevention of jeonse accidents, prompt guarantee fulfillment, and comprehensive damage support.
In particular, HUG was recognized for faithfully fulfilling its role as a guarantee institution through efforts such as launching the Anshim Jeonse application (app), simplifying and expediting legal procedures, and supporting victims via the Jeonse Damage Support Center and the Jeonse Fraud Victims Auction Support Center.
