Oh Seung-rok, Nowon-gu Mayor, Attends Choaansan Hydrangea Hill Completion Ceremony
On the 23rd at 3 p.m., Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Seoul, attended the 'Choansan Hydrangea Hill Completion Ceremony' held at San 46-3, Wolgye-dong.
This area had long been inconvenient for residents due to garbage accumulation and illegal farming. To provide residents with a resting space and to resolve the imbalance of green welfare in the region, the district decided to create the Choansan Healing Town here, following the previously established ▲Bulamsan ▲Suraksan ▲Yeongchuksan ▲Gyeongchun Line Healing Towns.
Choansan Hydrangea Hill centers around a flower garden themed with hydrangeas and an ecological pond harmonizing with the nature of Choansan. Additionally, a 1.3 km circular walking trail encompassing Hydrangea Hill and Biseokgol Park was created, equipped with conveniences such as a pavilion for sitting and resting, parking lots, and restrooms.
In the first half of next year, preparations are underway to open a 'Healing Picnic Area in the Forest' at the upper part of Hydrangea Hill. Around it, a barefoot walking path, which has recently become a health trend, exercise spaces, and a nature-experience forest playground will also be established.
The event was attended by Mayor Oh Seung-rok, members of the National Assembly, city and district council members, and local residents, proceeding in the order of progress report, congratulatory speeches, ribbon cutting, commemorative photo session, and rounding.
