Animal nutrition specialist Cargill Agri Purina announced on the 23rd that its in-house volunteer group 'Sarang-ui Moim' participated in and volunteered at the kimchi-making festival of Hanul Disabled Community in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.
Since 2006, Cargill Agri Purina has been conducting volunteer activities for neighbors in need in the local community through Sarang-ui Moim for 17 years. For the past three years, they have been supporting pork along with kimchi volunteering to spread warmth.
The kimchi for the kimchi-making was made with 1,200 heads of napa cabbage cultivated and harvested by Hanul Disabled Community. About 100 volunteers from more than 10 organizations participated. The finished kimchi was delivered to about 100 households of marginalized groups, elderly living alone, and low-income families in the Gyeonggi-do area.
