KG Mobility announced on the 20th (local time) that it held a launch event for the mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) Torres in Egypt.
The Torres launch event, held in Cairo's press district with the pyramids as a backdrop, was attended by about 500 people including local Egyptian media, influencers, and dealership representatives. After test drive events, full-scale sales are scheduled to begin next month.

Ahmed Abukouf, chairman of the local dealership Arabiaat Egypt, said, "Torres has strong design reminiscent of a traditional SUV, excellent performance, and a reasonable price, which are its major advantages. It has received favorable reviews not only in Korea but also in overseas markets, so we expect a strong market response in Egypt as well."
KG Mobility is accelerating its overseas market launches to increase its recently rising export volumes. Earlier in July, KG Mobility Chairman Kwak Jae-sun personally attended the European market launch event and met with local dealership representatives. An event was also held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, attended by dealerships from Africa, the Middle East, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region.

The company stated, "We gained confidence that we can succeed in the African market as well," adding, "Starting from Egypt, we will actively increase sales volume in the African market through aggressive global marketing strategies and enhancing brand awareness."
