In Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, a father and son risked danger to approach the scene of a 'random assault' and saved a female victim, a story that has touched many. The son, a man in his 20s, suffered severe facial injuries requiring 50 stitches but said, "I'm just glad the victim is safe."
According to JTBC on the 21st, Lee Su-yeon and his father discovered a woman, identified as Ms. A, being randomly assaulted by a man on a street in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi Province, around 11:50 a.m. on the 18th. At the time, the assailant was strangling Ms. A, who was shouting for help.
While driving by, the Lee father and son immediately stopped their car at a nearby bus stop and approached Ms. A. Upon seeing them, the assailant fled onto the road and struggled with the father and son, even wielding a weapon against Mr. Lee.
Despite the danger, Mr. Lee chased the assailant until the police arrived and arrested him.
Mr. Lee sustained serious facial injuries from the incident and received 50 stitches at the hospital. Reflecting on the tense moment, he said, "I thought if I just passed by while she was asking for help, I would keep thinking about it." He added, "I was stabbed and fell, but I just thought I had to catch him. I'm just relieved the victim is safe."
While driving, the Lee family witnessed this scene and immediately stopped their car at a nearby bus stop before approaching Mr. A. The male perpetrator fled onto the road upon seeing the Lees, and after struggling with the family as they followed him, he even brandished a weapon at Mr. Lee.

According to the police investigation, the assailant, a man in his 40s, had no prior acquaintance with the victim. The police also stated, "A rope was found among the assailant's belongings, and he was sent to prosecution on charges of special assault."
