Kyuhyun, a member of the group Super Junior and a musical actor, was injured during a stabbing incident in the performance waiting room. It has been reported that the perpetrator, Mr. A, originally targeted musical actor Park Eun-tae.
According to a report by SBS Entertainment News on the 21st, the Gangseo Police Station in Seoul conducted an investigation into Mr. A, who committed a stabbing rampage in the makeup room of the musical 'Ben Hur' at a performance venue in Magok-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on the 19th. Police investigation revealed that Mr. A had no prior criminal record related to stalking or similar crimes but was confirmed to have a history of mental illness.

Earlier, around 6 p.m. on the 19th, Mr. A, in his 30s, was arrested on the spot for wielding a weapon at actors in the makeup room of the musical 'Ben Hur' held in Magok-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
According to the Gangseo Police Station, Mr. A stated during the police investigation, "I committed the crime because I was angry that the actor did not recognize me as a fan." However, Park Eun-tae's side stated, "We do not know the woman at all." It was also reported that Mr. A had no prior criminal record related to stalking or similar crimes but had a history of mental illness.
On that day, Kyuhyun was injured by the weapon wielded by Mr. A while trying to stop the stabbing rampage. According to Antenna, Kyuhyun received first aid immediately at the scene. It appears that the injury was not serious.
In a video taken by fans and uploaded on social media that day, Kyuhyun can be seen greeting with a bandage wrapped around his finger.
Later, on the 20th, the agency Antenna stated in a press release, "Kyuhyun sustained a minor abrasion on his finger and was treated immediately at the scene."
Fortunately, there was no major damage, but fans expressed deep concern over the incident where a stranger intruded into the performance venue's makeup room and threatened actors with a weapon. Calls for strengthened protective measures for actors are growing louder.
