Viewing Korean Classic Films from a 'Post-Human' Perspective
Korea National Academy of Arts and Korean Film Archive to Host Classic Film Screening Event
The National Academy of Arts of Korea will hold a Korean classic film screening event on the 22nd and 23rd at the Korean Film Archive. It will newly highlight Korean classic films from a 'post-human' perspective. The films to be screened are four titles: Even on Windy Days, Flowers Bloom (1987), Film Emulsion (1980), Forest Fire (1967), and Gilsotteum (1985). After the screenings, related film industry figures will appear to engage in discussions with the audience. Participants include actors Shin Young-kyun and Kim Ji-sook, directors Im Kwon-taek and Jung Ji-young, critics Oh Dong-jin and Kang Yoo-jung, and Kim Hong-jun, director of the Korean Film Archive. Those wishing to attend can make advance reservations on the Archive's website. Admission is free.
