Bentley Vehicle Gifted Seized for Preservation... Expected to Be Used for Victim Compensation After Confiscation
According to the police on the 21st, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul applied for seizure preservation of the Bentley vehicle worth about 300 million won on the 10th, and the court approved it on the 15th.
Nam's side had voluntarily submitted the Bentley vehicle, along with bags, necklaces, rings, and watches gifted by Jeon to the Songpa Police Station on the 3rd, completing the seizure procedure.
Seizure preservation is a measure to prevent suspects from hiding or transferring the property subject to confiscation to third parties before a final judgment, thereby avoiding confiscation.
The Bentley vehicle in question was a gift from Jeon to Nam. With this measure, the Bentley vehicle registered under Nam's name cannot be disposed of in any way until the final judgment, after which it will be confiscated.
Once the Bentley vehicle is confiscated, it is expected to be auctioned and used for compensating the victims.
In addition, the police have also entrusted the appraisal of other items submitted by Nam. After confirming the appraised value, the police plan to review applications for seizure and confiscation preservation accordingly.
