Hangonghoe "Accountant Kim Seongnam Reappointed to International Ethics Standards Board"
The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants announced on the 22nd that accountant Kim Seong-nam has been reappointed as a member of the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA), the body responsible for establishing the Code of Ethics for Certified Public Accountants.
Accountant Kim Seong-nam was the first Korean appointed as an IESBA member for a three-year term in 2021 and has been active since then. He is now beginning his second term. He is an expert with over 30 years of experience in accounting audit and risk management while working at EY Han Young Accounting Corporation. He has also served as a member of the Accounting Standards Board of Korea and as auditor and international director of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Meanwhile, IESBA, together with the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB), is the most important international standard-setting body related to accounting audits. It is currently developing new international ethics standards related to sustainability information assurance.
