Gyeonggi-do to Hold 'Urban Policy Forum' at Suwon Convention Center on the 23rd
Gyeonggi Province will hold an urban policy forum.
On the 22nd, Gyeonggi Province announced that on the 23rd, it will hold the "54th Gyeonggi Urban Policy Forum" at the conference room on the 2nd floor of the Suwon Convention Center, introducing urban planning measures for creating green cities, including carbon neutrality in the era of low birthrate and aging population, urban spatial structure, and urban management plans.
The forum, attended by urban planning officials from Gyeonggi Province and its cities and counties, consists of four thematic presentations: ▲ strategies for shrinking cities in the era of population decline and regional extinction ▲ healthy city guidelines for the elderly ▲ region-customized carbon-neutral urban design plans ▲ redesign plans for urban planning in Gyeonggi Province.
Presenters include Lee Samsu, Research Fellow at the Land and Housing Institute; Lee Jinhee, Research Fellow at the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements; Lee Eunseok, Research Fellow at the Architecture and Space Research Institute; and Lim Changhui, Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly member. The forum will be broadcast online through the Gyeonggi Provincial Government's YouTube channel.

Lee Gyesam, Director of the Urban Housing Office of Gyeonggi Province, said, "Through the forum, we will reconsider and respond to the major issues in current urban planning," adding, "We expect it to be a meaningful occasion to flexibly respond to changes in urban conditions."
