Gyeongnam National University Future Life College, First Step as 'Regional Lifelong Education Center'
Gyeongnam National University’s College of Future Life recently completed its freshman recruitment and took its first step as a ‘Regional Lifelong Education Center’ representing the area.
Following its selection for the 2nd cycle university lifelong education system support project (LiFE 2.0) organized by the Ministry of Education and the National Institute for Lifelong Education this year, Gyeongnam National University’s College of Future Life established the Departments of Lifelong Education Counseling and Childcare, Local Creator, Leisure Life Business, Business Consulting, Total Beauty Design, and Active Senior, and began recruiting freshmen from 2024.
With a full enrollment of 120 students, the College of Future Life aims to be a ‘Higher Lifelong Learning Platform University that brings happiness and inspiration to the region,’ developing curricula, admission management programs, improving educational environments, and creating adult learner-friendly academic management programs to build a lifelong education platform for adult learners.

Along with this, centered on the Lifelong Education System Support Headquarters, a total of 20 non-degree programs for regional adult learners will be developed by 2025.
When adult learners complete non-degree programs, they can receive academic credit through the recognition of prior learning system for the hours completed upon admission to the College of Future Life.
As part of this, a total of 38 adult learners have completed non-degree programs and obtained certificates at the College of Future Life through the Leisure Life Business Department’s ‘Coffee Barista and Cafe Menu Development Coffee Expert Course’ and the Total Beauty Design Department’s ‘Personal Total Beauty Creator Perfume Specialist Qualification Course.’
Currently, the Lifelong Education Counseling and Childcare Department’s ‘Parent Education Expert Academy’ is actively conducting non-degree courses to enhance the professionalism of parent education instructors and prospective instructors.

Kim Kyung-hee, Dean of the College of Future Life, stated, “From admission to graduation, we will spare no effort to provide various support to serve as a lifelong education platform for regional adult learners through customized adult learner management, innovative academic system operation, career counseling, and industry-academia cooperation activities.”
