Industry's First Insurance Premium Payment with Points... Samsung Life's 'Slimoney' Service
Purchasing Various Products and Cash Withdrawals Also OK
Samsung Life Insurance is the first in the insurance industry to launch a prepaid-based point service. Customers can now use points earned by purchasing direct insurance or participating in events to pay insurance premiums or withdraw cash.
On the 20th, Samsung Life Insurance announced the launch of the 'SliMoney' service. SliMoney is a compound word combining Samsung Life Insurance's English abbreviation 'SLI (Samsung Life Insurance)' and 'Money,' referring to Samsung Life's integrated points that can be freely accumulated, used, and converted.
SliMoney can be earned by choosing it as a reward when purchasing direct insurance or by participating in customer events on the mobile homepage. The accumulated SliMoney can be used in various ways, such as purchasing products at the affiliated point mall 'SliMall,' paying direct insurance premiums, or withdrawing cash.
Along with the launch of the SliMoney service, Samsung Life Insurance released the walking-linked product 'Internet Comprehensive Health Insurance 100-to-1' on the 15th. Customers who subscribe with a monthly premium of 40,000 KRW or more and record more than 8,000 steps a day on Samsung Life's 'The Health' application (app) will accumulate 200 won worth of SliMoney per day during the insurance period (up to 20 years).
Additionally, an event is being held where customers receive 30,000 SliMoney when subscribing through Samsung Life Direct. This is conditional on making the second payment after the first subscription and maintaining the policy in good standing.
Furthermore, customers who have subscribed to Samsung Life's existing reward-type health insurance products, such as 'Premium Life Protection Insurance' and '100-to-1 Health Insurance,' can convert rewards accumulated in the subscriber-exclusive app 'HeALS' into SliMoney on the mobile homepage or Samsung Life app.
