A man in his 50s was arrested for stealing a drunk person's cellphone on the subway just 62 days after being released from prison.

Mr. A is accused of stealing a cellphone from a victim who had fallen asleep drunk on a bench at Myeongdong Station platform in the Seoul subway on September 23. The police reviewed CCTV footage from the crime scene and witnessed Mr. A committing the crime reflected on the screen door. After confirming Mr. A's appearance, they analyzed over 80 CCTV cameras from nearby subway stations and tracked his main haunts such as game centers and jjimjilbangs around Seoul, eventually apprehending him on the 6th. Mr. A stated that he committed the crime believing the subway platform was a blind spot without CCTV.
