Female Audience Member Dies in Brazil During World Tour
Audience Claims Organizer Blocked Water Bottles Despite Heatwave
Swift Mourns, Saying "My Heart Is Torn Apart"
A fan died of cardiac arrest during a concert by global pop star Taylor Swift. In response, Swift posted a handwritten letter on social media (SNS) mourning the deceased.
According to foreign media reports including Brazil's daily newspaper Folha de S.Paulo on the 18th (local time), Ana Clara Benevides, a 23-year-old who was watching Swift's concert held on the 17th at Est?dio Ol?mpico Nilton Santos, suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed on site. She was immediately transported to the hospital but ultimately passed away due to cardiac arrest.
Swift is currently conducting her worldwide tour "The Eras Tour" across Latin America, starting from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Other attendees at the scene criticized the organizer's incomprehensible measures, saying they caused this incident. On the day of the concert, Brazil experienced a heatwave with the perceived temperature at the venue approaching 60 degrees Celsius. Despite this, the organizers prohibited bringing water bottles into the venue, which is said to have led to this tragedy.

Meanwhile, Swift posted a handwritten letter on her Instagram that day mourning the deceased fan, saying, "I can't believe I am writing this."
She said, "My heart is broken to tell you that we lost a fan before tonight’s show started. I know nothing except that the fan who passed away was beautiful and young." She continued, "I am too sad to speak about this on stage. I feel a deep loss," and wished that "my heart reaches her family and friends," praying for the deceased’s peace.
Debuting in 2006, Swift is considered one of the most successful female musicians since the 2010s, capturing both musicality and commercial success. She holds the record for the most number one albums on the Billboard HOT 200 among female artists with nine studio albums, and has sold over 60 million albums worldwide.
