Season Finale RSM Classic 1R 2 Under Par
Young and Cole, Thompson 6 Under Par Tied for Lead by 1 Stroke
Kuchar 4th, Noh Seung-yeol 63rd, Lee Kyung-hoon 98th
Kang Sung-hoon started tied for 34th place in the final tournament of the 2023-2024 PGA Tour season.
On the 16th (local time), he tied for 34th place (2-under 70) in the first round of the RSM Classic (total prize money $8.4 million) held at the Sea Island Resort Plantation Course (par 72, 7,060 yards) in St. Simons Island, Georgia, USA, recording 4 birdies and 2 bogeys. Kim Si-woo also joined this group with 2 birdies in 14 holes.
This tournament is the final event of the 2022-2023 season. Although the PGA Tour concluded with the Tour Championship in August, seven tournaments were scheduled in the fall after the FedEx Cup playoffs ended. The day's play started about an hour late due to bad weather, and there was a suspension of about 2 hours and 30 minutes in the afternoon, causing delays. Out of 155 players, only 65 completed the first round before play was suspended due to darkness.
