Bestseller Yes24's 'PubaO'... Kyobo's 'The Mind'
In the Yes24 comprehensive bestseller list for the second week of November, "Omniscient Fubao's Perspective" topped the chart through pre-orders alone. This book is a photo essay capturing the daily life of the panda family "Bao Family" through the affectionate eyes of Song Young-gwan, the breeder famous as Fubao's "little grandfather." After starting pre-orders on the 8th, it sold over 4,000 copies within a day. The buyers were overwhelmingly female, accounting for 94.8%.
The trend forecast book "Trend Korea 2024" maintained its 2nd place, and "The Mind," which deals with the answers to wealth led by the unconscious, ranked 3rd. In 4th place was "Kim Daeri's Daily Knitting," a book by the 320,000-subscriber knitting YouTuber "Needle Story Kim Daeri." "Future Self," which suggests ways to transform life through connection with the "future me," ranked 5th.
In the economy and business category, Nam Seok-kwan, a legendary full-time investor, ranked 8th overall with his third book "Principles of Investment Without Loss," and "Yoon Je-sung's Wall Street Investment," which conveys interview content from Yoon Je-sung, CIO of New York Life Asset Management managing assets exceeding 800 trillion won and known as a "big player on Wall Street," ranked 11th. Despite the prolonged high-interest rates leading to relatively lower interest in stock investment, both books consistently appeared on popular self-development and motivation YouTube channels, securing high ranks on the bestseller list.
Additionally, the National Geographic Kids' "Science 2024," which compiles essential science, history, and general knowledge topics that elementary students must know in 2024, attracted attention by ranking 13th overall.
