"Not Immediately, But Someday I'll Quit"… 80% of Office Workers Live with a 'Resignation Letter' in Mind
Incruit Survey of 963 Office Workers
Eight out of ten office workers plan to leave their current company.
On the 16th, HR tech company Incruit conducted a survey of 963 office workers about their 'desire and reasons for resignation.' Among the respondents, 27.6% said they have specific plans to leave their current company. Additionally, 53.8% of respondents said they have plans to resign, although not specific, surpassing half.

View original imageOn the other hand, 15% of respondents said they have no plans to resign yet, and only 3.6% said they plan to stay until retirement age.
The most common reason for wanting to resign was "to increase salary by changing jobs," at 25.6%. This was followed by "because I don't see a future for the company" (22.7%), "wanting to move to a larger company" (13.3%), and "disliking the people at the company" (11.6%).
Reasons for wanting to resign differed depending on marital status.
Among unmarried respondents, 28.5% said they want to resign "to increase salary," which was the highest proportion, while among married respondents, the most common answer was "because I don't see a future for the company" (26.5%).
The years of service with the strongest desire to resign were the 3rd year (34.6%), followed by new hires to 1st year (22.9%), and 2nd year (18.3%).
More than half of respondents showed negative reactions (generally negative 44%, very negative 18.2%) to quitting without having another company to move to, known as 'transfer resignation,' citing concerns about financial difficulties (42.4%) and a tough job market (39.7%) as reasons.

Meanwhile, the reason for having no plans to resign was cited as a manageable workload that allows for work-life balance (26.8%).
