Muan-gun Successfully Concludes 2023 Disabled Persons Unity Festival
Creating a Harmony Space for People with Disabilities and Non-Disabled Participants
Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) successfully held the 2023 Muan County Disabled Persons Unity Festival on the 15th at Seungdal Culture and Arts Center, with about 700 attendees including disabled organizations and facilities, volunteers, institutions, social groups, and residents.

According to the county on the 16th, the event, hosted by the Muan County Disabled Persons Association (President Ham Seong-jang), was organized to promote understanding of disabled persons and to foster unity and welfare improvement among disabled residents in the area.
Starting with a pre-ceremony performance, the first part of the event included commendations for meritorious persons, scholarship presentations, opening remarks, and congratulatory speeches. The second part, the Harmony Festival, featured various activities such as a Pumba performance, singing contest, and lucky draw.
Additionally, sign language interpreters from the Muan County Sign Language Interpretation Center were assigned to the event, contributing to expanded communication through careful consideration for all disabled participants.
President Ham Seong-jang stated, “I deeply thank the officials and workers who are diligently striving to improve welfare for disabled persons, and I will continue to do my best to enhance the rights and interests of disabled individuals.”
