Jeongeup-si Holds 'Traditional Market Seafood Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event'

The Saemgoeul Market Merchants Association (President Lee Heung-gu) in Jeongeup, Jeonbuk, will hold a "Traditional Market Seafood Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event" for two weeks from the 20th of this month to the 3rd of next month.

According to the city on the 16th, this event is being conducted by the Saemgoeul Market Merchants Association with a 50 million KRW national fund investment from the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to boost sales in the stagnant seafood industry and revitalize the local economy.

The participating stores are 22 shops within Saemgoeul Market that handle only domestically produced seafood.

Customers who purchase seafood here and visit the Saemgoeul Market Merchants Association's first-floor customer lounge during the refund hours (weekdays from 1 PM to 6 PM, weekends from 9 AM to 6 PM) can submit their purchase receipts (only card receipts and cash receipts are eligible). After verification, they can receive a refund of up to 40,000 KRW in Onnuri gift certificates per person.

The refund conditions are based on one participation per customer per week (Monday to Sunday). If a customer purchases seafood worth between 25,000 KRW and less than 50,000 KRW, they can receive a 10,000 KRW gift certificate refund. If they purchase seafood worth 50,000 KRW or more, they can receive a 20,000 KRW Onnuri gift certificate refund.

If purchases are made once a week over two weeks, customers can receive a maximum refund of 40,000 KRW.

Small receipts that do not meet the refund criteria can be combined within the same week (Monday to Friday) for a refund. However, receipts from different weeks cannot be combined, and receipts from Saturday and Sunday can only be combined with receipts from the same day.

The participating stores can be identified by notices at the market entrance and markings on each store. Detailed information about the event can be obtained through the Saemgoeul Market Merchants Association.
