Yongsan-gu Launches Full-Scale Public-Private Partnership for Quality Job Creation
Yongsan-gu Job Governance Established and Business Agreement Ceremony Held... 16 Local Job-Related Organizations Participate to Strengthen Job Creation Foundation... Mutual Cooperation System Established for Job Information Sharing and Employment/Startup Program Development
Yongsan-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Hee-young) formed the "Yongsan-gu Job Governance" to strengthen the foundation for job creation in the region and held a business agreement ceremony on the 14th.
The "Yongsan-gu Job Governance" (hereinafter referred to as Governance) was established to contribute to the creation of sustainable quality jobs by building a win-win cooperation system among job-related organizations.
At the agreement ceremony, 16 people including Park Hee-young, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, and Lee Sang-mok, Director of the Seoul Western Branch of the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office, attended, signed the agreement, exchanged it mutually, and agreed to work together for local job creation.
In particular, the Governance includes 16 job-related organizations in four sectors. ▲ Two public institutions: Yongsan-gu and Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office (Seoul Western Branch) ▲ Two partner organizations: Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation (Yongsan Branch) and Seoul Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Yongsan Chamber of Commerce) ▲ Five educational institutions: Sookmyung Women's University, Korea Polytechnic University (Seoul Jeongsu Campus), Seoul Metropolitan Central and Southern Technical Education Centers (Central Campus), Asia Aviation Vocational School, Yongsan Women's Human Resources Development Center ▲ Seven job support organizations: Korea Senior Citizens Association (Yongsan Branch), municipal and district welfare centers.
The main cooperation items include ▲ sharing local job information and establishing a collaborative system ▲ promoting mutual development through the activation of Yongsan-gu Job Governance ▲ discovering employment and start-up programs responding to the era of diversification ▲ mutual cooperation in job projects by each institution.
Thereafter, regular meetings will be held once a quarter with Governance practitioners participating to share opinions on institutional project issues and job creation.
Park Hee-young, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, "Efforts from both the public and private sectors are important for creating quality jobs," adding, "We look forward to meaningful discussions for good jobs centered on Yongsan-gu Job Governance."
