Geumcheon-gu Daycare Centers Join Hands for a Warm Winter Season
Gasan-dong Workers' Welfare Corporation Moarae Daycare Center and Siheung 3-dong Public Saessak Daycare Center Staff and Children Collect Warm Winter Fund Together
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced on the 15th that the staff and children of the Moarae Daycare Center of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service in Gasan-dong (Director Lee Bo-ram) and the Siheung 3-dong Public Saessak Daycare Center (Director Kim Hu-nam) donated the funds they collected together for neighbors in need in the community to the community centers.
The Moarae Daycare Center of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service donated 700,000 won, and the Public Saessak Daycare Center donated 790,000 won.
The Gasan-dong Community Center and Siheung 3-dong Community Center plan to use these funds to support low-income families facing difficulties with living expenses and medical care.
Lee Bo-ram, director of Moarae Daycare Center, said, “We are donating the funds with the hope that the small sincerity collected by the children's tiny hands will help neighbors in need, even if just a little.”
Kim Hu-nam, director of the Public Saessak Daycare Center, said, “Although the economic situation has become difficult, we raised funds with everyone's heartfelt support. It is a small amount, but we hope it will help our neighbors.”
Geumcheon-gu plans to carry out the ‘2024 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Project’ together with the Seoul Community Chest of Korea from November 15 to February 14 of next year.
