Fire at Haman Pig Farm... 400 Pigs Dead, 180 Million Won in Damages

Overnight, a fire broke out at a pig farm in Haman County, Gyeongnam, resulting in the death of hundreds of pigs.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters on the 15th, a report was received around 4:16 a.m. that flames were rising across the river in Haman-myeon, Haman County.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene confirmed the fire at the pig farm's barn and began extinguishing it, completing the operation around 6:37 a.m.
One barn was completely burned down, two others were more than half destroyed, and approximately 400 pigs inside the barns died. The fire caused an estimated property damage of about 180 million won, according to the fire department.
All three foreign workers on night duty escaped unharmed, resulting in no casualties.
A total of 38 personnel, including firefighters, police officers, and Korea Electric Power Corporation employees, were deployed to the scene, along with 18 pieces of equipment such as water tanks and fire trucks.
