National Gwangju Science Museum 'Amazing Biomedical Engineering Stories' 2nd Lecture
The National Gwangju Science Museum will hold the second lecture of the Fascinating Biomedical Engineering Stories series on the 18th at the Sang-sang Hall in the main building.
Professor Hwang Jaeyoon from the Department of Electronic and Electrical Computer Engineering at Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology will be invited to discuss the topic “The Mysterious Story of Ultrasound for Humans.”
Attendees will learn about the various ultrasound technologies used in daily life, methods for observing human organs using ultrasound, and technologies for treating diseases.
Professor Hwang earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Korea University, a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Seoul National University, and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California. He has also worked as a researcher at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The “Fascinating Biomedical Engineering Stories” lecture is available for on-site attendance after online advance reservation, and anyone from children to adults can participate free of charge.
