Ko Jin-young will compete in the final event of the 2023 LPGA Tour season, the CME Group Tour Championship (total prize money $7 million), despite knee pain.
On the 14th (local time), the Golf Channel reported, "Ko Jin-young experienced pain in her left knee during last week's The Annika Driven by Gainbridge at Pelican (total prize money $3.25 million). Ko Jin-young's management company, SEMASports Marketing, stated, "She felt knee pain during last week's tournament, and her knee was somewhat swollen. However, her condition has improved slightly after playing in today's pro-am. She will participate in the tournament as scheduled." Ko Jin-young has won two events on the LPGA Tour this year.
