Riverside Hotel Offers Free Parking Lot Access to Seocho District Residents
Seocho-gu Signs Agreement with Riverside Hotel to Open Parking Lot for Free Use
Seocho-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jeon Seong-su) and Riverside Hotel signed an agreement on the 14th to open the parking lot free of charge to local residents.
The signing ceremony held at the district office was attended by Jeon Seong-su, Mayor of Seocho-gu, and Ahn Byung-gyun, Chairman of Riverside Hotel (Gauplan Co., Ltd.). The ceremony proceeded in the order of a reception, remarks from resident representatives, signing of the agreement, greetings, and commemorative photo session.
The main contents include permission and guidance for the use of the space under the Jamwon overpass by the district, and free opening of the parking lot in the section occupied by Riverside Hotel (on weekdays).
After the agreement, the Riverside Hotel parking lot will be officially opened from the 14th. It will operate only on weekdays (Monday to Thursday 24 hours, before 6 p.m. on Friday) and will be free of charge for residents and customers of nearby stores.
In February, during the on-site visit of “Visiting Jeon Seong-su,” a communication event with residents, the district reflected residents’ opinions such as “We hope the shortage of parking lots and illegal parking in the Jamwon-dong area will be resolved,” and negotiated with the nearby Riverside Hotel to open the parking lot.

Jeon Seong-su, Mayor of Seocho-gu, who attended the signing ceremony, said, “With the opening of the parking lot, illegal parking in the surrounding area will disappear, and the pedestrian environment is expected to improve. I believe this agreement is a case of win-win coexistence where residents and businesses take an interest in local community issues and find ways to mutually benefit.”
