View original imageThe Seoul Metro Workers' Union, affiliated with the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions' Public Transport Workers' Union, held a Central Dispute Countermeasure Committee meeting on the 14th and decided on the schedule for the second strike. The union plans to hold a press conference in front of Seoul City Hall on the 15th to announce the details of the second strike.
The union previously conducted a two-day warning strike on the 9th and 10th in protest against the company's large-scale workforce reduction plan. Since then, labor and management representatives have continued discussions, but no agreement has been reached yet.

The union stated, "After the first warning strike, we continuously urged Seoul City and the company for a change in stance and sincere dialogue, but Seoul City and the company suddenly shifted to a strong response policy," adding, "They have not presented any measures regarding concerns about safety personnel shortages on site."
