Gwangju Seo-gu and Ire Company Sign Agreement to Provide Integrated Care Services
Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on the 14th that it has signed a business agreement with the youth startup company Ire Company Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Wonhee) to provide integrated care daily living support services.
Ire Company, located in the Seo-gu Startup Center, is carrying out the project "Hospital Companion Service Using Location-Based Services," which is part of the "2023 First-Time Youth Startup Support Preliminary Entrepreneur Contest" organized by the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development.
Going forward, Ire Company plans to promote a "24-Hour Safe Dispatch Service," which promptly responds to requests received through a 24-hour care call, solving issues such as errands for the target person, hospital or outing accompaniment, fluorescent light replacement, and simple repairs.
Additionally, Ire Company has secured about 30 care workers to support the integrated care services promoted by Seo-gu.
Mayor Kim Ikang of Seo-gu said, "With this agreement, we expect the youth startup company to grow further and become a stepping stone for startup success. Based on the accumulated experience and know-how of Seo-gu's integrated care, it will also invigorate the establishment of a community-integrated care linkage system. We will continue to do our best so that the elderly can spend a healthy old age where they have lived."
Meanwhile, Seo-gu is promoting the Gwangju-style integrated care and the Ministry of Health and Welfare's pilot project for integrated elderly medical and care support to assist residents with mobility difficulties. The support includes ▲housing support (housing renovation, care-safe housing) ▲healthcare support (home visits, oral care, customized exercise visits, intensive health support) ▲daily living support (home helpers, home bathing, customized nutritious meals, care taxis, hospital accompaniment, 24-hour safe dispatch) ▲smart care (AI welfare workers, smart residential care).
