Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education Prepares Support Plan for Academic Operations at the End of the School Year After CSAT
The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education has prepared an academic operation support plan for the period after the College Scholastic Ability Test and the end-of-grade curriculum operation.
According to the Gwangju Office of Education on the 14th, this support plan was promoted to cultivate self-directed career competencies and to enhance the substance of academic operations.
The period from the day of the CSAT to the end of the year is designated as a 'Student Safety Special Period' to protect students from behavioral guidance issues and various safety accidents.
The Office of Education has established policies and support measures for the end of the school year after the CSAT, including ▲establishing academic operation plans tailored to each school level and grade ▲various school educational activities centered on student activities ▲operating customized programs for 3rd-year high school students according to their situations ▲operating career-linked experiential and economic/financial education programs ▲conducting safety education to ensure student life safety ▲strengthening student behavioral guidance inside and outside school through the operation of a 'Special Period for Intensive Life Education.'
In particular, for high schools, the academic schedules for 1st and 2nd years and 3rd-year students will be dualized, and customized programs for 3rd-year students will be operated to provide opportunities to select and participate in programs suitable for their situations, such as career and college admission, and economic and financial education.
Additionally, the Office of Education plans to work with each school to strengthen student behavioral guidance and education.
Joint management with related organizations will be strengthened for youth facilities outside of school to ensure life safety, and education to prevent student delinquency and deviation will be implemented. Furthermore, active efforts will be made in prevention activities and education regarding student violence, suicide prevention, and sexual violence.
