On the 10th, employees of Mastern Investment Management received volunteer training at Yangjae Comprehensive Social Welfare Center located in Seocho-gu, Seoul, and visited elderly households in need. In addition to delivering winter supplies, they took walks and had conversations with elderly individuals living alone.
A representative from Mastern Investment Management said, “The company’s ESG LAB planned this activity with the awareness that low-income elderly households should not be isolated from the local community. Recently, rising living costs have worsened issues of food insecurity and nutrition among low-income groups, and weakening bonds among neighborhood members have made attention and support for elderly living alone more urgent than ever.” Mastern Investment Management has regularly conducted social contribution activities such as river cleanup volunteer work and bread sharing events.
Lee Gil-ui, Vice President of the Management Division at Mastern Investment Management, stated, “We find it meaningful to take time at the end of the year to offer even a little help to neighbors around us,” and added, “We will continue to sincerely carry out various forms of social contribution activities at the company level.” Going forward, Mastern Investment Management plans to implement diverse public interest activities such as meal service volunteering, support for children's education, and residential environment improvement to strengthen vulnerable links within the local community.
