President Yoon's Approval Rating Among 30s Drops 9.4%
People Power Party Support Falls 0.7 Percentage Points to 37.0%
Democratic Party Support Rises 0.7 Percentage Points to 45.5%
President Yoon Suk-yeol's approval rating for his administration has declined again after three weeks.
According to a regular public opinion poll released on the 13th by Realmeter (conducted via ARS automated response method from the 6th to the 10th over five days, targeting 2,503 adults aged 18 and older nationwide, commissioned by Energy Economy Newspaper), the positive evaluation that President Yoon is "performing well in state affairs" dropped by 2.1 percentage points from the previous week's survey to 34.7%. The negative evaluation that he is "performing poorly in state affairs" rose by 2.0 percentage points to 62.2%.
Looking at the regions, noticeable declines in approval ratings were seen in Busan·Ulsan·Gyeongnam (down 3.9 percentage points, 41.7%→37.8%) and Incheon·Gyeonggi (down 3.1 percentage points, 33.3%→30.2%). By age group, decreases were observed among those in their 30s (down 9.4 percentage points, 34.1%→24.7%) and 20s (down 3.3 percentage points, 30.5%→27.2%).
In party support (conducted via ARS automated response method from the 9th to 10th, targeting 1,003 adults aged 18 and older nationwide, commissioned by Energy Economy Newspaper), the People Power Party's support rate fell by 0.7 percentage points from the previous week to 37.0%, while the Democratic Party's support rate rose by 0.7 percentage points to 45.5%. As a result, the gap between the two parties showed the Democratic Party leading the People Power Party by 8.5 percentage points.
By region, the People Power Party's support in Daegu·Gyeongbuk decreased by 7.9 percentage points (59.0%→51.1%), whereas the Democratic Party's support in Daejeon·Sejong·Chungcheong increased by 7.1 percentage points (38.4%→45.5%), drawing attention.
