The Israeli military announced on the 12th (local time) that clashes are ongoing in a refugee camp near Al-Sifa Hospital, which is suspected to be Hamas' headquarters.
In a statement released that morning, the Israeli military reported that numerous soldiers are continuing combat in the Al-Shati refugee camp near Gaza City. The Israeli Givati Infantry Brigade attempted to evacuate civilians hiding inside buildings, but Hamas responded with gunfire and shelling. They also conducted airstrikes to eliminate Hamas operatives hiding in the buildings and struck a building used as a Hamas weapons depot.
