Gwanak-gu Asks Residents for Opinions on New Urban Brand (BI) Including 'Daehanminguk Cheongnyeonsudo Gwanak'
November 10-16: 7-Day Resident Opinion Survey
Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will conduct a public opinion survey on five new urban brand development proposals until November 16.
An "urban brand" is a brand perceived by people based on the differentiated identity of a city as part of city marketing.
The current urban brand of the district is "Warm Gwanak." The district first developed "Fresh Gwanak" in 2009 and changed it to "Warm Gwanak" in 2012, which has been used for 11 years to date.
Accordingly, the district has embarked on developing a new urban brand that clearly reflects the changed identity of Gwanak-gu in the flow of the times and can newly represent its future vision.
In February this year, the district selected a company to develop the urban brand and conducted a basic status analysis and diagnosis of Gwanak-gu. In April, it conducted a perception survey on the image of Gwanak-gu targeting its residents and set the development direction as "Youth, Hope, Growth."
Based on the derived direction, the district developed new brand naming and design, and after an interim report meeting and collecting expert opinions, selected candidates for the new urban brand.
The five selected urban brand candidates are ▲ Republic of Korea’s Youth Capital Gwanak ▲ Youth Gwanak ▲ Gwanak Growing Together ▲ Youth City Gwanak ▲ THE GWANAK.
The district plans to select the final urban brand by reflecting the opinions of residents, experts, and staff on the five proposals.
Residents can participate in the opinion survey through the Gwanak-gu website (News & Notices → Latest News → Gwanak News) by accessing the "Gwanak-gu Urban Brand (BI) Resident Opinion Survey." For those wishing to participate offline, they can fill out the questionnaire available at each neighborhood community center’s civil service office.
