Busan Gijang-gun Holds 'Green Onion and Pajeon Promotion Event'
Busan's Gijang-gun will hold the "4th Gijang Green Onion and Pajeon Promotion Event" organized by the Gijang Green Onion Agricultural Cooperative Corporation at the Shinsegae Premium Outlet parking lot for two days from the 11th to the 12th.
This event was promoted to commemorate the registration of Gijang green onion as Geographical Indication No. 105 and to promote its excellent quality.
The main event contents include ▲ cooking and selling Gijang pajeon ▲ discount sales of Gijang green onions (peeled green onions, soil-grown green onions) and green onion kimchi ▲ sales of local agricultural and specialty products ▲ free green onions given to customers who spend a certain amount at outlet stores, offering a variety of programs to taste and enjoy Gijang green onions.
Gijang green onions were certified for historicity, fame, local characteristics, and geographical features, completing registration as Geographical Indication No. 105 in March 2018. It has established itself as the only agricultural product registered as a geographical indication green onion in Korea.
