Successful Completion of the Gwangjin-gu Regional Children's Center Joint Cultural Festival

On the 8th, Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) held the '19th Gwangjin-gu Regional Children's Center Joint Cultural Festival' at the Naru Art Center Grand Theater, organized by the Gwangjin-gu Regional Children's Center Association (President Jeon Mi-young).
Regional children's centers are child welfare facilities that provide comprehensive welfare services such as protection and education, play and entertainment, and connection with guardians and the local community to foster children who need after-school care in a healthy manner. There are 13 centers in Gwangjin-gu, serving about 350 children.
The Joint Cultural Festival is a performance where children from regional children's centers showcase their talents, fully demonstrating their skills and creating a space for communication and harmony. Marking its 19th year, the festival was attended by about 600 people, including key guests, children and their guardians, and staff, who brightened the event.

The event proceeded in the order of guest introductions, congratulatory speeches, commemorative photos, and talent show performances. The highlight of the event, the talent show, featured about 180 participants from 13 teams. Starting with a choir performance by Kyunghee Regional Children's Center, the festival was a stage for diverse performances where children displayed their honed skills, including Nanta drumming, the latest trendy dances, Gayageum byeongchang (singing while playing the Gayageum), and ocarina ensemble.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “I sincerely thank President Jeon Mi-young and the center staff who prepared the Regional Children's Center Joint Cultural Festival.” He added, “I hope today's event will be a meaningful time for children to harmonize and communicate with each other, and we will do our best to ensure that children grow up healthy and upright through various welfare policies and support.”
