Ulsan Ulju-gun, Suspension of Unproductive Seizure and Disposal of Delinquent Vehicles
On the 3rd, Ulju-gun, Ulsan City held a local tax review committee meeting and decided to suspend the enforcement of collection measures on seized vehicles with no resale value.
This measure was implemented to support the economic recovery of livelihood-type defaulters such as small business owners and to enable efficient delinquent tax management.
A total of 348 vehicles were subject to the suspension decision; these vehicles are aged between 12 and 37 years and are outdated, non-operational vehicles.
Previously, Ulju-gun conducted a full survey of seized vehicles targeting those that had missed more than two regular inspections last month, had liability insurance lapses exceeding two years, and were effectively lost vehicles with no violations related to vehicle operation.
These vehicles will be publicly announced on the Ulju-gun website for one month starting from the 8th, and the seizure release procedures will proceed after the 9th of the following month.
However, even after the seizure release, hidden assets such as real estate, vehicles, and financial assets of the defaulters will be periodically investigated, and collection enforcement may still be carried out.
