[NE] Now Using 'Tokket' in Fitness and Running Competitions
Tokket, Expanding Application Range from Sports Events to Concert Tickets... Increasing Utility
Blockchain startup Gamper's NFT service Tokket is expanding its application range to fitness memberships, competition medals, concert tickets, and more.
On the 8th, Gamper CEO Lee Joon-seop stated, "Following the fitness memberships conducted with CoachN, we issued NFTs using Tokket at a running competition."
Tokket is a platform that allows free transfer and acquisition of memberships, tickets, memberships, gifticons, and more. The process is simple and transparent, freeing users from issues commonly found in online trading markets such as scalping and loss of contact with trading parties.
On the 28th of last month, Gamper issued commemorative medals as NFTs to finishers of the running competition "Hillburn Season 4," held by the running platform Harang in the Gwangju Citizens' Forest area. They provided NFTs featuring the physical medal and the Harang character completing the 8km run. These NFTs serve as important tokens for those interested in exercise and competition activities. They grant benefits such as discounts on future event tickets, merchandise events, and raffle entries. Most importantly, they are practical because users can check their records and achievements anytime and anywhere with just their phones, without the need to carry physical items.
Previously, Gamper signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with fitness company CoachN and set a record by selling out 200 million KRW worth of competition memberships in just one day. Membership holders can enjoy CoachN's online and offline benefits, and if conditions are met, memberships can be freely transferred or acquired through Tokket. A commercialization test was also completed for the memberships. By scanning a QR code on a scanner placed at the ticket booth, users can enter for free. This allows convenient participation in competitions and attendance at performances without the hassle of carrying paper tickets, just with a phone.
CEO Lee explained, "There is a demand for community among people who enjoy exercising. There are more group exercises than solo ones, and using NFTs allows continuous engagement at a lower cost. It is useful because you don't have to carry paper tickets, and in the long term, it becomes an eco-friendly element."

He added, "By the end of November, we plan to apply NFTs to concert tickets as well. We are also considering ways to utilize NFTs for small business owners," and said, "We hope a culture of enjoying NFTs in more fields will grow."
