"Showing Confidence"... G-Dragon Voluntarily Appears, Vehicle He Arrived In Sparks Attention
"No Drug Use" Confident Attitude
BMW Vehicle Featured in Promotional Video Sparks Attention
Claims of Innocence Continue with 'Sapilgwijeong' on SNS
Singer G-Dragon (real name Kwon Ji-yong), who is accused of drug use, has drawn attention for the vehicle he arrived in and the glasses he wore when voluntarily appearing at the police station.
Facing charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act, G-Dragon previously denied all allegations, stating that he did not use drugs, and expressed his intention to voluntarily appear for police questioning. On the 6th at around 1:20 PM, he visited the Incheon Nonhyeon Police Station accompanied by his lawyer.
Voluntarily Appearing at Police Station Using BMW Vehicle
Known for owning multiple luxury vehicles, G-Dragon attracted attention by arriving in a BMW ‘i7 xDrive 60’ model that day. BMW Korea selected G-Dragon as the official ambassador for the high-performance Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) 'New XM' in early March and featured him at the launch event. The fact that G-Dragon, who had mainly driven Lamborghinis and Rolls-Royces, partnered with BMW sparked considerable interest.
In May, BMW Korea released a limited edition model, the ‘New XM First Edition,’ distributing only 15 units domestically. This vehicle, known as the 'GD car,' became a major topic of discussion, and despite its price of 225 million KRW, fierce competition took place in the online draw. In the first draw for 8 units, 916 applicants competed, resulting in a 115:1 ratio (excluding duplicate applications).

However, after drug use allegations against G-Dragon surfaced last month, BMW Korea took measures such as making promotional videos featuring him private. Following G-Dragon’s voluntary police appearance and his choice to arrive in a BMW rather than another vehicle, some interpret this as him showing confidence in the police investigation.
The black horn-rimmed glasses G-Dragon wore that day also attracted attention. The glasses are identified as the ‘Zephyrin 9A’ model by Jacques Marie Mage, a U.S.-based company. This product is sold online for approximately 1.27 million KRW.
G-Dragon "Actively Cooperated"... Uploads 'Sapilgwijeong' on SNS
After completing the police investigation, G-Dragon stated, “I actively cooperated with the necessary statements and hair samples for the investigation. I answered truthfully,” adding, “I hope people do not worry too much and trust and wait.”
