According to major foreign media on the 6th (local time), the U.S. Treasury Department announced that Secretary Yellen is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Vice Premier He in San Francisco on the 9th and 10th.
The Treasury Department explained that this meeting will be a "more focused diplomatic moment" aimed at stabilizing relations and helping to make progress on economic issues.
AP News reported that this meeting was arranged amid a series of high-level talks occurring in a climate of easing tensions between the world's two largest economies, the U.S. and China.
At the APEC summit held in San Francisco from the 11th to the 17th, U.S. President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping are expected to attend, with a bilateral summit between the two leaders anticipated on this occasion.
