MFDS Supports Export of Cosmetics to Indonesia
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced that it attended the '2023 Korea-Indonesia Medical Roadshow' to support the export of domestically produced cosmetics and held a bilateral cooperation meeting in the cosmetics sector with the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BPOM) locally.
At the meeting, the Ministry requested that cosmetics certified by Korea's halal certification bodies be exempted from certification by Indonesia's Halal Certification Agency (BPJPH) and that electronic sales certificates issued in Korea be recognized when reporting cosmetics in Indonesia. Both countries agreed to continue exchanges by designating officials to continuously discuss matters related to cosmetics.
At the '2023 Korea-Indonesia Medical Roadshow' Healthcare Industry Forum, the Ministry explained Korea's cosmetics safety management system to Indonesian Food and Drug Authority officials, local buyers, and companies, and promoted the excellent quality of domestically produced cosmetics.
