'Autumn Rain Embracing Winter' Only Until Afternoon... Temperature Drops Sharply After Rain Stops
Starting from the weekend, strong winds and heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning have been falling nationwide, and are expected to gradually subside from the afternoon of the 6th. After the rain stops, cold winds will blow, causing temperatures to drop significantly.
The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted that the entire country will be cloudy with rain on this day. The expected rainfall until the 7th is 30-100mm in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Yeongseo, 10-60mm in Gangwon Yeongdong, 20-80mm in Chungcheong and Honam regions, 5-80mm in Yeongnam region, and 30-100mm in Jeju Island. The rain caused by a low-pressure system passing near the Shandong Peninsula in China will mostly stop between 3 to 6 PM on this day, but a trough passing near the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Province may cause rain to continue until dawn on the 7th in the central region (excluding the Gangwon East Coast), eastern Jeonbuk, and northern inland Gyeongbuk. There may also be places in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Yeongseo where rain returns at night. In areas such as northern and eastern Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous Gangwon, and northeastern inland and mountainous Gyeongbuk, where temperatures will drop below freezing from 6 PM, the rain is expected to change to snow.
After the rain stops, cold northwesterly winds will blow strongly, and in Seoul, the morning temperature on the 7th is expected to drop to 4 degrees Celsius, more than 10 degrees lower than the previous day. From Tuesday the 7th to Thursday the 9th, the country will be occasionally cloudy, and from the 10th, mostly clear nationwide. The morning low temperatures this week will range from -4 to 16 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs will range from 6 to 23 degrees Celsius. These are similar to or slightly lower than the average (morning lows 1 to 11 degrees Celsius, daytime highs 11 to 19 degrees Celsius).
