‘Itjab Bus’ Goes Anywhere! ... Busan City Provides Job Information
Over 1,000 Visitors in One Month of Operation, Demand-Oriented Active Support
Mobile Counseling, Job Policy Guidance, Employment Lectures, and Recruitment Briefings Conducted
The mobile job connection bus, ‘ItJobBus,’ designed to provide job seekers with easier, faster, and more extensive job information, has made a successful start.
Busan City announced that ‘ItJobBus,’ operated in collaboration with the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, has actively supported employment services for over 1,000 citizens by visiting events for women, veterans, and others since September 22.
In particular, on October 18, ‘ItJobBus’ was operated at the ‘2023 KB Good Job, Busan Job Festival’ held at BEXCO, attracting significant interest from job seekers.
ItJobBus directly visits demand sites to provide employment services such as ▲mobile counseling (career exploration, job counseling, etc.), ▲job policy guidance, ▲on-site employment lectures, and ▲on-site recruitment briefings.
▲(Mobile Counseling) While it is common for job seekers to visit central job centers to receive employment support services such as job counseling, ItJobBus breaks away from this by proactively visiting demand sites and conducting mobile counseling inside the bus, including career exploration and job counseling. Taking advantage of its mobility, it actively supports employment services not only at libraries and universities where many job seekers gather but also in areas with high pedestrian traffic.
▲(Job Policy Guidance) Not only job seekers but also the general public want to learn about job-related policies such as unemployment benefits and the National Employment Support System. They usually obtain information through internet searches or inquiries at job centers. ItJobBus collects scattered local job policies in one place inside the bus, making it easy to view at a glance and providing convenient access to information on related policies.
▲(On-site Employment Lectures) The demand-tailored employment lectures offered by ItJobBus are also very popular. Visiting vocational high schools, it provides customized lectures such as interview skills and how to write a good self-introduction letter for students preparing for employment, as well as practical labor law lectures for young workers who have successfully found jobs.
▲(On-site Recruitment Briefings) Although Busan has many excellent companies, job seekers often miss out on good companies due to lack of information and awareness. It is common for citizens participating in job fairs to be surprised to learn about such great companies in Busan. To correct this information imbalance, HR managers from companies board the ItJobBus to visit job seekers and conduct recruitment briefings. Job seekers and HR managers can communicate face-to-face and exchange their needs directly.
ItJobBus plans to expand its activities and visit anywhere in the city until the end of the year.
In addition to major demand sites such as libraries, universities, and vocational high schools, it will develop customized content tailored to the characteristics of users by linking with local festivals and events with high pedestrian traffic, enabling the organization of diverse and rich events.
Applications to operate ItJobBus are accepted through the Busan Job Information Network website, and detailed inquiries can be made at the Busan Job Comprehensive Center.
