Korea University of Energy and Resources - Minerva University, USA, Join Hands to Foster Global Talent
Korea University of Energy and Technology (President Yoon Euijun·KENTECH) announced on the 3rd that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 1st with Minerva University in the United States, a leader in future-oriented education, for joint research on innovative education and the cultivation of global talent in the energy sector.
Through the agreement, the two universities will collaborate in various fields to establish a long-term cooperative system, including ▲ joint program operation ▲ activation of personnel exchanges ▲ holding workshops and seminars, along with research on future-oriented education modules and exchanges of students and researchers.
Minerva University has bases in six cities worldwide, including Seoul, and offers a unique curriculum where students study in different cities each academic year and solve problems faced by those cities, making it one of the most innovative universities globally.
Since its establishment, KENTECH has developed curricula and teaching methods linked to the Minerva project, and based on this, the two universities agreed to expand student and research exchanges through the MOU.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dollie Davis, Dean of Minerva University, along with key officials, and Yoon Euijun, President of KENTECH, Park Sungjoo, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Kwak Joonseop, Director of Academic Affairs, and Peter Jang, Director of Internationalization Support Office.
Following the signing ceremony, an in-depth discussion was held on talent cultivation, discussing innovative measures for domestic energy education to nurture global energy talent amid the global energy crisis.
