Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, held the '28th Yongin City Farmers' Day' commemorative ceremony on the 3rd at the City Hall Ace Hall.
The event, hosted by the Yongin City Agricultural Association Federation, was attended by Lee Sang-il, Mayor of Yongin, Yoon Won-gyun, Chairman of the Yongin City Council, Park Jong-bok, Head of the Yongin Branch of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, local cooperative heads, and over 200 agricultural organization executives.

In his commemorative speech, Mayor Lee stated, "With the designation of the advanced system semiconductor national industrial complex as a specialized national advanced strategic industry complex in the semiconductor field, Yongin Special City will become the world's leading city in the semiconductor sector." He added, "As jobs increase and population inflows, the consumption of agricultural and livestock products will also rise significantly." He further said, "We will thoroughly prepare to prevent the infiltration of lymph skin disease and support Yongin's agricultural and livestock products to lead the nation."

At the event, five individuals were awarded the Farmers' Grand Prize in recognition of their contributions to agricultural development and management innovation: Lee Geum-seok (food crops sector), Seong Baek-yong (horticulture and special crops sector), Heo Cheol-hoe (livestock sector), Lee Hae-seok (young farmers sector), and Park Jong-nye (female farmers sector). Additionally, 31 people, including Lee Suk-young (Pogok-eup) and Yoon Seok-gi (Mohyeon-eup), who contributed to regional agricultural development, received commendations from the Mayor of Yongin Special City and others.
