According to the Daegu Fire and Safety Headquarters on the 2nd, around 10:31 a.m. that day, five pigs heading to a slaughterhouse in Geomdan-dong, Buk-gu, Daegu, fell from a 1-ton truck. The truck, which was carrying seven pigs, was making a left turn at an intersection when the truck's support stand opened, causing the incident.
Fire authorities, who responded to the report, deployed four vehicles and 18 personnel to gather the scattered pigs in about 30 minutes. The five pigs walked approximately 600 meters to the slaughterhouse under the guidance of firefighters.
A fire official said, "There were no human casualties from the accident," adding, "The fallen pigs suffered minor injuries such as abrasions, but there was no serious damage."
