Gyeonggi-do Provides 'Fair Trade in Distribution and Subcontracting' Training for Businesses
Gyeonggi Province will conduct fair trade education for local companies and business operators to prevent unfair trade practices in the large-scale distribution and subcontracting sectors.
On the 3rd, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will hold a total of four training sessions at the Fair Competition Federation FC Hall on the 5th floor of the new building of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business in Yeouido, Seoul, on ▲November 15 (distribution sector) ▲22 (subcontracting and distribution sectors) ▲24 (subcontracting sector).
The main training content for the distribution sector includes the obligations and prohibitions of large-scale retailers, exemption from the application of promotional cost sharing rates, obligations of online shopping mall operators, the latest issues such as clauses prohibiting management interference, and the legal compliance obligations of partner companies.
For the subcontracting sector, the training will focus on practical issues, including recent cases of violations of the Subcontracting Act, dispute mediation cases, and the latest legal amendments such as the linkage system for delivery payments.
This training targets not only large-scale retailers such as marts and original contractors who subcontract in the province but also large corporations nationwide that have branches or subcontractors in Gyeonggi Province.
It is designed as customized practical training for various situations to prevent unfair trade damage, aiming to protect the rights and interests of small and medium-sized businesses in the province that supply large-scale retailers or original contractors and to enhance their competitiveness.
Heo Seong-cheol, head of the Fair Economy Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "Through this training, we hope to increase the understanding of fair trade among local business operators, prevent unfair trade practices that may occur between businesses, and foster a culture of fair trade."
